Quick and easy Matar-paneer (Green peas and cottage cheese in spicy gravy)

Quick and easy matar-paneer with handy ingredients! And though the number of steps seen here appear many, believe me the recipe is ready in 15 mins!!

1/2 cup fresh green peas(matar) (can use frozen also)
1/2 cup small cube size pieces of paneer (cottage cheese)
1 medium size onion
1 big size tomato
4-5 cloves of garlic
1 inch piece of fresh ginger
1 tsp garam masala (Indian spice powder)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp roasted coriander seeds powder ( can use non roasted also)
4 tbsp oil
Salt as per taste

1. Cut onion, tomato into cubes
2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan and add onion to it, saute it for 1-2 mins till golden brown
3. Now add tomato and saute another 2 mins till the tomatoes become soft
4. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala,   roasted coriander seeds powder and stir for another min
5. Turn of the flame and add salt, ginger and garlic to this mix.
6. Cool to room temperature and grind to fine paste in mixer
7. In a pan heat another tbsp of oil and add the paneer pieces to it
8. Gently stir the paneer pieces till golden brown of all sides, keep aide when done
9. Now heat remaining 2 tbsp oil, and add green peas to it.Let green peas cook till become soft
10. Add the gravy paste prepared in step 6 and let it cook for while
11. Add paneer, and salt for the portion of green peas and paneer (gravy we already added salt) and let it cook till the gravy starts releasing oil from all sides. Add water to adjust consistency if required

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander if you like and serve hot with chapati or rice!!
