Kothimbir wadi - coriander fritters

This famous Maharashtrian snack is prepared in many ways. Today I introduce the simple recipe of preparing kothimbir wadi in a healthier way using very little oil.
I made these on the first weekend of new year with Hazelnuts-dates cake.  But hardly any were left to take the picture :P

Ingredients:
1 bowl Freshly chopped coriander leaves
2 cup gram flour
2-3 tbsp whole wheat flour
2 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp. turmeric powder
Salt per taste
1 tap sugar
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Oil for shallow frying

Preparation:
1. Mix all the ingredients except oil in a bowl
2. Using little water at a time make a stiff dough
3. Divide the dough into two parts and make a roll of each
4. Steam the rolls for 10-12 mins in a steamer
5. Remove the rolls from steamer and let it rest for around 15 mins (this step make the rolls cutting and handling easy)
6. Cut into equal size pieces to make wadi
7. Heat a pan and shallow fry kothimbir wadi till golden brown on both sides using little oil
Alternatively you can deep fry also

Your easy and yummy kothimbir wadi is ready to for serving!!
